Letter: Sad to see legal immigrants must leave while illegal aliens remain
Regarding Stan Giesey?s Aug. 27 letter regarding his brother and German wife (?Law-abiding, they played by immigration rules, but now have to leave country?):
Is the daughter a German or American citizen? How many illegals have legal children because a child born in the United States is automatically a citizen? How many marry a legal but do not apply for citizenship?
In the same paper, a letter from Bob Hobson asks about a person living here illegally for 11 years, how he supports himself without paying income tax and no Social Security card.
