Russanda Elliot keen to win Netting Services Seniors Trophy
The C. Parker trained black dog, Russanda Elliot, is keen to complete his hat-trick by winning the Netting Services Seniors Trophy at Sunderland racecourse on Wednesday night, August 29. The open race over 450 meters is scheduled to start at 20:43 (GMT).
For the sake of the prize money worth ?300, the five-year-old veteran hound will compete confidently against five worthy hounds after breaking from the white box.
The son of Droopys Maldini out of Loyal Princess delivered some impressive performances during the last couple of months. After winning a T2 race on June 13, he finished first in the A3 462m Flat at Kinsley on July 21.
The dashing dog nicely notched up top spot each in the A3 462m Flat and the A3 462m Flat consecutively. Both the A3 events took place during the last week.
Shocking to note is the fact that he has no open race to his name and he has never run at Sunderland so far. Thus, he will have quite a new and unique experience tonight. He may take a little time to adjust to the race conditions. Once he manages to read the ground, no one will be able to stop him from sealing success.
However, Russanda Elliot will have to face the wrath of Pennys Stinger who has a number of OR triumphs to his name.
The F. Smith trained white and black dog took a long break from July 2011 to April 2012 to go through some taxing training sessions that were meant to improvise his racing skills and stamina.
