There must be a law of the universe that says your printer will only run out of ink at the most inopportune moment. If you need to squeeze a few more pages out of your printer, all you need is a hair dryer.
When your ink cartridge starts running dry, you'll notice that it doesn't print as well, making streaks and lines all over the solid areas you need to print. But, if you remove the cartridge and hit it with a warm hair dryer for a couple minutes, you'll thin out that last bit of ink and get it to flow through the nozzle better. It probably won't give you a ton of extra pages, but you'll at least be able to finish printing that really important document without heading to the store first. Of course, if you have a laser printer, you can get the same effect by covering up the sensor on your toner cartridge, too.
We haven't been able to test this one ourselves, but a Google search reveals quite a few success stories, so try it out for yourself and let us know how it goes!
