I have a C++/CLI module doing some Media Foundation work. When I create a topology for a windows media file but with no audio device I get this MF_E_CANNOT_CREATE_SINK event. The problem is this event occurs asynchronously after the topology has "successfully" been added to the IMFMediaSession.
I'd like to detect the lack of an audio device/driver if possible and disable the audio stream so I can still play the video stream.
At the moment I do not receive topology events when this MF_E_CANNOT_CREATE_SINK event occurs so cannot start playback.
